Competencies / Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of firearm components and accessories using CAD software and engineering principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project objectives and specifications.
  • Participate in prototype development and testing, iterating designs as necessary to achieve desired performance and functionality.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings and documentation in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies relevant to firearm design.
  • Support manufacturing teams by providing design-related guidance and troubleshooting during production.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes for firearm components.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, including comparable military experience, coupled with 0-2 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to excel in the role.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in contributing to moderately complex project aspects, often working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Extensive expertise in SolidWorks, particularly in its 3D modeling capabilities.
  • Familiarity with the use and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Previous experience in firearms design is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong team player with excellent cooperation skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently, demonstrating initiative and drive in assigned tasks.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with stakeholders at all levels within the company, as well as external partners and customers.

  • Must be U.S. Person, successfully complete background check, and not be disqualified from legally possessing a firearm.
