Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and talent development. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of HR best practices and a passion for employee engagement. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Recruitment and Staffing: 
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent. 
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand hiring needs and Job Descriptions. 
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job postings to onboarding. 

  1. Employee Relations: 
  • Foster a positive workplace environment by promoting open communication and resolving conflicts 
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related issues. 
  • Conduct investigations and handle disciplinary actions as needed. 

  1. Performance Management: 
  • Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring alignment with company objectives. 
  • Facilitate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance. 
  • Develop and implement programs to recognize and reward employee achievements. 

  1. Compliance and Policy Development: 
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. 
  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with legal requirements. 
  • As needed, assist with firearms and export compliance activities. 

  1. HR Strategy and Planning: 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategy with business objectives. 
  • Participate in organizational development efforts and change management initiatives. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent military experience. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources. 
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. 
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR or military equivalent) a plus.
