TROY has an opening for a CNC Swiss lathe machinist. The CNC Swiss machinist is responsible for the fast-paced production of various high precision components made from a multitude of alloy steels and stainless steels. Parts can range from something as simple to pins and screws to as complex as linear compensators and muzzle brakes. In some cases, a part is produced as fast as every 30 seconds, so an eye for detail and a diligence in one’s work is key. The ideal candidate will have either completed a machinist course at a vocational school (such as KCTCS or TCAT) or have some level of experience in the operation of either CNC Swiss Lathes or conventional CNC Lathes. Candidates must have a penchant for learning new skills and solving challenging problems. The hired candidate will start off being trained to ‘operator’ level and be trained to a higher skill level as deemed necessary by the Swiss Manager.
